Collaborating with partners increases our collective impact and helps us to learn, innovate, and broaden our reach.

Strengthening New England’s food system requires a shared vision across many stakeholders. We are fortunate to have a broad and values-aligned community of individuals, institutions, organizations, and groups working in partnership toward a better food future for the region. While each plays a unique and important role, engaging in collaborative efforts can bring even greater impact, momentum building, and systemic change.

We are excited to be a supporting partner in the following programs.

Food Justice for Kids Prize

Powered by Newman’s Own Foundation, Humanitix, The Henry P. Kendall Foundation, and Hunger to Health Collaboratory

The Food Justice for Kids Prize is an open call for innovative organizations across the United States working to ensure all children can access, learn about, and engage with nutritious, culturally relevant food – at school and in their communities.

The Prize will award grants of up to $100,000 over two years and is open to nonprofits, Tribes, schools, and school districts that support children in one or more of the following areas: learning about healthy food, eating nutritious school meals, and engaging with Indigenous foods.

Two Prizes will be designated for New England-based projects. We encourage our regional grantees and partners to consider applying.

Terrific Trays

In 2025, we launched a new partnership with Massachusetts Farm to School and the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE)’s Office for Food and Nutrition Programs (FNP) to support the third year of the Terrific Trays competition.

Terrific Trays shines a spotlight on schools across the Commonwealth serving exceptional meals made with locally sourced ingredients from Massachusetts farms, dairies, and fisheries. Participating schools submit photos along with a list of the farms and fisheries that supplied the food.
