In 2002 the Kendall Foundation Trustees adopted a policy of reviewing only invited proposals; unsolicited proposals for funding are not reviewed. Many years of experience taught us that reviewing all proposals served the Foundation and especially grant applicants poorly. From an average of 500 annual proposals we were funding less than 10 percent, thereby disappointing the vast majority of applicants whose valuable time is too often wasted.
However, we are eager to stimulate and sustain a flow of ideas because we are fully engaged and always seek to add value to our investments. Accordingly, we are open to receiving letters, emails, and calls bearing ideas that might advance the impact of our climate change/energy program. Paying close attention to our program priorities described on the website enhances the chance of connecting with us.
